Scorching Tampa Backcountry Delivers All-Day Hunting Thrills!
Non-stop bites all day long! San and I headed out this August afternoon with partly cloudy skies and the chance of storms rolling through Tampa. The weather held steady as we launched around 1:00 pm, perfect conditions for what we had planned. It was a scorcher out there, but that's gator country for y'all during summer hunting season with thennarasumtbs.
Once the stage was set, we focused on spot-and-shoot techniques throughout the backcountry areas. The afternoon timing worked perfectly for pass shooting opportunities as birds moved between feeding areas. We didn't notch a tag on this hunt, but every hour in the field was worth it. Jump shooting kept us busy when we moved through different zones, and Tampa's diverse terrain gave us plenty of chances to work our techniques.
The partly cloudy conditions helped keep things comfortable while we covered ground. We wrapped up the hunt with smiles all around, and even though we got skunked, the action never stopped. Tampa's hunting grounds delivered exactly what we expected for an August afternoon hunt.
